GOALS OF JUSTICE & MERCY, INC.

To
work for a fair and balanced criminal justice system that
incorporates justice and mercy for call
- To educate and inform the public on criminal
justice issues and how the system can be improved
- To research policies and procedures to determine
their effectiveness
- To reduce the cost of incarceration to save
taxpayer dollars that can be used for other public needs
- To promote alternative sentencing for nonviolent
crimes to cut the high cost of incarceration
- To facilitate re-entry management organizations
across Pennsylvania to help reduce the high percentage of
ex-prisoners returning to prison
- To work for more prison access for faith-based
organizations, which historically have a proven success rate
- To increase church awareness and involvement in
how they can minister to victims, prisoners, ex-prisoners and their
families through a restorative justice vision
- To work for an end to prison abuse and develop
more rehabilitative programs that demonstrate success
- To support community policing efforts for higher
visibility in neighborhoods, working with residents to reduce crime
and build safer, more harmonious communities.
